With Comic-Con literally around the corner, here's a listing of events and presentations that are LEGO related that will be happening.


BrickJournal: Looking at the LEGO Community

Thursday, July 22, 2:30 pm- 3:30pm in Room 7AB

TwoMorrows will be presenting the panel   It's description: In the past decade, a community of adult LEGO builders has sprung up and created models, websites, and even conventions. The staff of TwoMorrows’ BrickJournal, the magazine for LEGO enthusiasts of all ages, will take a look at the community (and what it builds) at this talk, with Brandon Griffith (top LEGO builder), Jonathan Bender (author of LEGO: A Love Story), Nathan Sawaya (LEGO Certified Professional builder), and Jim Foulds (Community Operations Manager, Community Development – Americas and Australia, for the LEGO Group). The panel will be moderated by BrickJournal editor Joe Meno, and there will also be a Q&A afterward.

Nathan Sawaya and Jonathan Bender will be signing at booth #1301 after the BrickJournal panel from 4-5pm Thursday, July 22. Sawaya will be signing again from 4-5pm Friday, July 23.

On Sunday, July 25th, there will be two LEGO-related presentations:

LEGO Universe Building Creativity Show & Tell

11:30AM - 12:30PM @ Room 5AB

Take an in-depth look inside the creative process of bringing LEGO worlds to life through storytelling and fan collaboration, to create a truly unique MMOG. Six LEGO Group and NetDevil panelists discuss their roles in the development of LEGO Universe, from senior directors to mega fans and builders. The panel includes Ryan Seabury (creative director), Mark Hansen (senior director), Chris Brubaker (media coordinator), Ryan Baier (videographer), and two representatives from the LEGO Universe Partners program.

Sneak Peek into the LEGO Group's New Constraction Property: Hero Factory!

1:45PM - 2:45PM @ Room 6DE

The LEGO Group, creators of the ever popular Bionicle franchise, is proud to present their new action constraction property: Hero Factory. Come meet the product designer, get a firsthand look at the products launching this fall, learn the back story on Hero Factory, get a sneak peek of the new TV show and see if you have what it takes to be part of the Hero Factory!

There will also be a LEGO Exclusive set of Cube Dude figures, created by Angus MacLane. 450 sets will be sold every day by lottery. Price is $75 for the set.
